Dennis
Preston
Dennis started his City career on the Stock Exchange Talisman team
in 1977. After ten years at the Stock Exchange, the last five as
Marketing manager for the Settlement Services Division, he moved
into Investment Banking. As a Director of Dresdner Kleinwort Benson,
he fulfilled a number of senior roles in Operations, Equities and
Corporate Finance. When he left in 1998, he was Head of Strategy
and Planning. After a short time with J&H Marsh & McLennan, he became
an independent consultant and joined the Bank of England, working
for the Deputy Governor, on a 1-year contract to introduce a complex
internal change programme. Dennis has recently concluded a project
for a large actuarial consultancy to devise and implement an e-business
strategy for its UK practice. Dennis has written a number of articles
on organisational development and business planning.
As a change management specialist, Dennis has a broad experience
in implementation and project management and recognises the equal
importance of people and processes.
